Lots to treasure at the APME-ASNE Auction at Stanford in Palo Alto!

For this second joint gathering of the Associated Press Media Editors and the American Society of News Editors in Palo Alto, we've got a stunning array of items up for bid at the opening night reception and Foundation Auction 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at the Stanford Arrillaga Alumni Center, 326 Galvez St. on campus.

Come eat, drink and spend your hard-earned money at what will be a fun and lively evening. Help APME and ASNE serve journalism by bidding for great items in our live and silent auctions. You might take home a great weekend getaway package to Broadway, two sets of four 50-yard-line tickets to the Arizona-USC game and the Rose Bowl, four tickets to a Chicago Bulls game and two to a Chicago Blackhawks game, five nights in a condo on the Jersey shore, a Kindle Fire, a "Visit Memphis" package and much more.

To donate, please fill out the 2015 pledge form. Email or mail to Kim Meader at kim.meader@arizonarepublic.com, Arizona Republic, 200 E. Van Buren St., Phoenix, AZ 85004, or fax to 602-444-4374

You'll want to be there for this gathering at our annual conference, but just in case, here is a list of some of the great grabs, a few you can even bid on from afar. These bids will be the starting point for the Oct. 16 live auction at the conference. If you can't make it and don't want to lose out, just prebid and include a maximum bid for the conference. We'll try to bid for you until that maximum is reached.

The Online Auction will close at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16. Winners will be notified within 48 hours.

Scroll down near the bottom for two other ways to help APME help journalists – NewsTrain Ambassadors and the APME Foundation.
