Lots to treasure at the APME Foundation Auction in Chicago!

For this historic meeting of the Associated Press Media Editors and the American Society of News Editors in Chicago, we've got a stunning array of items up for bid at the opening night reception and Foundation Auction 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, at the Tribune Tower, 435 N. Michigan.

Come eat, drink and spend your hard-earned money at what will be a fun and lively evening with entertainment by members of the comedy group Second City. Help APME and ASNE serve journalists by bidding for great items in our live and silent auctions. You might take home a great weekend getaway package, autographed photos or pucks by Chicago Blackhawks’ stars, matching his and her Harley-Davidson jackets, ticket package to the Chicago Bulls or Blackhawks, fashion jewelry, Broadway tickets and much more.

There's still time to donate, so just contact APME Auction head honcho Bob Heisse.

You'll want to be there for this gathering at our annual conference, but just in case, here is a list of some of the great grabs, a few you can even bid on from afar. These bids will be the starting point for the Sept. 15 live auction at the conference. If you can't make it and don't want to lose out, just prebid and include a maximum bid for the conference. We'll try to bid for you until that maximum is reached.

Scroll down near the bottom for two ways to help APME help journalists – NewsTrain Ambassadors and the APME Foundation.
