Obviously the main goal of the membership committee is to grow membership. One of the biggest steps to accomplishing that goal is to update APME's membership list. Once that's completed, letters will be sent out to current, past and prospective members. The letters will detail the benefits of being a supporting member of APME, and encourage editors to attend the 2006 conference in New Orleans.

Growing our membership among Canadian editors is another goal. A complete list of Canadian editors will be added to APME's database, and they will also receive letters from the membership committee, the weekly APME News Update e-mail and the quarterly APME News magazine.

The committee will continue to look for creative ways to reach out to managing and executive editors and future top editors.
