Purpose of research

The Online Journalism Credibility Study was a joint research effort by The Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute (RJI) of Missouri's School of Journalism and Associated Press Managing Editors (APME). The purpose of the study was to examine credibility of online journalism (local news content) as journalists and the public are discussing how good journalism should be practiced online. It was designed to address the research questions with comprehensive measures and perspectives of both newsroom editors and the general public.
