Survey design
The survey questionnaire was jointly designed by researchers of APME and RJI for collecting the following information.
■ Proportion of the general public that uses online sources for local news
■ Trustworthiness of local news stories online & sponsoring news organizations
■ Perceptions of attributes of good journalism practice online
■ Evaluation of breaking news coverage online
■ Awareness of journalists expressing opinions or personal lives & its influence
■ Perceptions of reader postings online & moderating techniques used
■ Evaluation of performance of online citizen journalism
■ Demographics
