2011 promises to be another transformative year in our business, and APME is here to help you be a part of that change. We are planning some exciting developments this year. We rolled out a brand new APME website that is current and filled with useful news and information. APME Magazine, our quarterly publication, has new features and continues to highlight issues and trends. The Innovator of the Year award has been expanded, and we're offering more NewsTrain sessions to reach frontline editors. We are putting together webinars on issues that range from how to grow Sunday sales to making social media work for your market.

Our Sept. 14-16 conference in Denver will be like none other. Conference chair Debra Adams Simmons, editor of The (Cleveland) Plain Dealer, is teaming with Martin Reynolds, editor of the Oakland Tribune, to plan sessions that are relevant, timely and reflect the real needs of newsrooms. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the latest in news and in our industry, and in addition to that, we want you to bring your families and use the time away to take in everything from the Rocky Mountains to Denver's red hot music, art and culture scene.
