Find cutting-edge advice in NewsTrain slides, handouts at Slideshare.net/NewsTrain

Looking for tips on mobile newsgathering, social reporting, data visualization, self-editing and/or writing for mobile?

Check out the trove of handouts and slides from the recent NewsTrain in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, which drew 98 enthusiastic attendees to Middle Tennessee State University on Sept. 30-Oct 1. After each NewsTrain, we upload the trainers’ slides and handouts to slideshare.net/newstrain. They include concrete tips as well as links to other resources.

Murfreesboro concluded another successful year of NewsTrain workshops. Stay tuned here for our stops for next year. We are reviewing applications to host NewsTrains in several locations around the United States from committees of local journalists.

Thanks for your support of NewsTrain, which will enter its 14th year with its 85th workshop in 2017! Every tax-deductible donation is greatly appreciated at bit.ly/NewsTraindonation. Our generous donors keep NewsTrain’s high-quality training affordable at the early-bird price of $75.
