March 2007 Showcase Photo

This is the March 2007 Member Showcase photo of the month, as judged by APME. Annalee Cathcart (left) and Bridget Johnson make a list Thursday, March 29, of the items that were rescued from Cathcart's house in Holly, Colo., after it was severely damaged by Wednesday's tornado. Cathcart, who has lived in the house for 30 years, said her home is condemned to be torn down.

The Associated Press Managing Editors association awards Member Showcase Photo honors each month for the best image shared by a newspaper with other Associated Press photo users. The competition is judged by a panel of AP and member photo editors. The best of the monthly Showcase photos receives a Member Showcase Photo prize at the APME annual conference in October.
