APME Sounding Board
APME 'Sounding Board' provides instant feedback to AP on filing of news wires.
An Associated Press Managing Editors panel of newspaper editors provides fast feedback on AP's filing of the wires, news content and other aspects of the news cooperative's report.
Questions are posed by New York news departments to members of the "AP Sounding Board." The panelists also will pose questions to New York AP editors.
The goal is to help AP provide better service to its members, says AP Executive Editor Kathleen Carroll.
Dave Minthorn, manager, AP News Administration, coordinates the questions and answers. Newspaper editors wishing to suggest a topic can send an e-mail to Minthorn at: dminthorn@ap.org
