USF students covering APME Conference

Gil Thelen’s Public Affairs Reporting class at the University of South Florida has the assignment of spending however much time they can Thursday and Friday at the APME conference. The class is large, 40, and constitutes junior and senior majors in the School of Mass Communications. They will be struggling other classes and jobs, so expect to see them in and out.

The students will be blogging live on their time with APME. Gil, who is the retired editor/publisher of the Tampa Tribune and a longtime Knight-Ridder editor, is complimentary of the students’ performance. He says APME editors will enjoy meeting them.  They certainly look forwarding to meeting the APME editors.
