The APME has honored the attached photograph as National Member Photo of the Month for September 2015.
Thanks to John Rumbach, Dave Weatherwax and the staff at the The Herald in Jasper, Ind., for judging this month.
Here is what the judges had to say about the winning image:
"We've all seen some fun photos from similar types of fishing contests, but this is one of the first that we've seen where the photographer has made the extra effort to put us as a viewer right in the middle of the action. The photographer put us on the boat and gave us a perspective that makes us feel like we are also in harms way. It makes the frame fun and energetic. Not to mention we thought the photographer made a smart choice in selecting these individuals. There's a lot about the way they are dressed and the form of helmet protection they selected that adds a level of storytelling to the image. Nicely framed and nicely captured."
