Brad DennisonBrad Dennison, vice president of news operations for GateHouse Media, Inc., was elected Sunday to the board of directors of the Associated Press Managing Editors Association Foundation, Inc.

Dennison also currently serves on the governing board of the Associated Press Managing Editors Assocation and was elected during that board's meeting in New York City. He is one of two association representatives on the foundation board.

The APME Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charity organization which receives gifts to support APME projects, including NewsTrain, Online Credibility, the APME conference newspaper and diversity efforts.

Dennison has been vice president of news operations for Fairport, N.Y.-based GateHouse Media Inc., owner of more than 100 daily newspapers, since October 2006. Previously he was vice president of editorial for Birmingham, Ala.-based Community Newspaper Holdings Inc., owner of more than 90 daily newspapers. He has held various editing positions at the Chicago Sun-Times, the Daily Southtown on Chicago's South Side and The Augusta (Ga.) Chronicle.
